Delhi High Court Appoints Committee To Take Over Affairs Of Indian Olympic Association

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday directed the setting up of a three-member Committee of Administrators (COA) to take over the affairs of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). A bench of Justices Manmohan and Najmi Waziri said the "persistent recalcitrance" of the IOA to comply with the Sports Code made it imperative that its affairs be put in the hands of the COA comprising former Supreme Court judge Justice Anil R. Dave, former Chief Election Commissioner Dr. S.Y. Quraishi, and former Secretary of Ministry of External Affairs Vikas Swarup.

A two-member delegation, led by newly-appointed acting president Seif Ahmed, arrived here on Monday for an emergency meeting to assess progress made with regards to the adoption of a new Constitution at HI. India is scheduled to host the 2023 Men's World Cup. The FIH delegation is scheduled to hold a meeting with the Delhi High Court-appointed three-member CoA on Wednesday.

West Indies all-rounders Andre Russell and Sunil Narine and England batter Jonny Bairstow are among the players signed by Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) for the inaugural edition of the UAE's International League T20 (ILT20). FIFA's decision to suspend India unfortunate, says surprised CoA

FIFA's "unfortunate" decision to ban the All India Football Federation despite closing in on a consensus on matters concerning the elections and structure of constitution.
