"Ravindra Jadeja has sustained a right knee injury and is ruled out of the tournament. He is currently under the supervision of the BCCI medical team. "His replacement, Axar Patel was earlier named as one of the standbys in the squad and will join the team in Dubai soon."
Vijay Kumar will be competing in his biggest tournament since the London Games podium as he was on Friday picked in the Indian squad for the upcoming ISSF World Championships. The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) announced a 48-member Indian rifle and pistol squad for the tournament scheduled from October 12-25 in Cairo, Egypt. Four years after his last international tournament, the London Olympics silver medallist pistol shooter had returned to the national squad in April this year.
