BCCI announces election schedule

On Saturday, the BCCI-appointed electoral officer AK Joti issued a seven-page "notice of election schedule and call for full members (state associations) to file applications to nominate their respective representatives." A copy of the notice, which mentioned all the timelines of the election, was also put up on the Board's website. The deadline for members to file applications to nominate their representative is October 4 at 6 PM. The elections will be held here on October 18, and the results will also be declared on the same day.

BCCI has described Jhulan Goswami's two decade-long international career as "monumental", saying an era has come to an end with the retirement of one of women's cricket's greatest players.
