BCCI puts Asia Cup in Pakistan on Indian team's roster for 2023

The BCCI has shared with all its state unit representatives a lowdown of the work done during the past year along with future plans and schedule of the national team's tours, which includes Asia Cup in Pakistan next year. According to the report, the Indian team will be participating in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup (South Africa), ICC Women's U-19 T20 World Cup (South Africa), Asia Cup (Pakistan) and ICC Cricket World Cup, India.

Cricket: Zaman replaces Qadir in Pakistan's squad for T20 World Cup

(Reuters) - Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman has been promoted to the team's 15-player squad for the Twenty20 World Cup while leg spinner Usman Qadir has been moved to the travelling reserves due to an injury, the country's cricket board (PCB) said on Friday.

Pakistan defeated New Zealand by five wickets in the T20I tri-series final match at Christchurch's Hagley Oval on Friday. Chasing a target of 164 runs in 20 overs, Pakistan needed two runs to win off the final four balls. This is when Iftikhar Ahmed went across the stumps and smashed Blair Tickner for a six over the deep square leg to seal the game for Pakistan. The fielder at the boundary put a good effort yet failed to stop the six.

KARACHI: Pakistan included top-order batter Fakhar Zaman in their 15-man squad for the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia on Friday, replacing spinner Usman Qadir after he suffered a thumb injury. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said 32-year-old Zaman is recovering from a knee injury. "Pakistan have made one change in their squad for the T20 World Cup Australia with Zaman included in the squad while Qadir will be in the travelling reserves," said a PCB statement.
