Former Manchester United and English international defender Phil Jones is set to visit India on April 6 for the finals of the third edition of Road to Old Trafford, a unique five-a-side football tournament that is also supported by Manchester United. The finals of the tournament, will be held in Chennai, after the initial qualifying rounds that took place in Pune and New Delhi. Jones, a former Premier League winner with Manchester United, has also played in two FIFA World Cups for England.

The Women's Premier League has "grown phenomenally" in the last three years but there are no immediate plans to increase the number of teams from the existing five, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal, who is also a part of the WPL committee, has said. The WPL committee headed by BCCI president Roger Binny. The Board had plans to increase the number of teams after three seasons but it now wants to consolidate. "To further strengthen this tournament for the time being, we want to consolidate before we take a call on further addition of any team. There are no immediate plans (to add teams)," Dhumal told PTI.

Indian cricket team fast bowler Mohammed Shami's sister and her husband have been receiving wages under the MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) welfare scheme that guarantees 'right to work' in Uttar Pradesh's Amroha, according to a report by ABP News. The report claimed that documents show Shami's sister - Shabina - registered as a worker under the scheme and has received money from 2021 to 2024. However, the report did not have any reactions from Shami or his family members.
