Star Indian squash player Joshna Chinappa made a shock exit from the women's singles event but veteran Sourav Ghosal sailed into the quarterfinals of men's singles at the Asian Games on Monday. Taking the court first, Chinappa lost 1-3 to lower-ranked Heo Mingyeong of South Korea in the pre-quarterfinals. The 37-year-old, who received a first-round bye, went down 4-11, 12-10, 9-11, 8-11 in 37 minutes to the South Korean, ranked 158th, in the round of 16. After winning a bronze medal in the women's Heptathlon 800m in the ongoing Asian Games on Sunday, Indian athlete Nandini Agasara said she never thought that she would be winning a medal at the 19th Asian Games. While speaking to ANI, the Indian athlete said that this was her first international match at the senior level and she never thought that she would be getting a medal in the multi-sport event. "This is my first international match in the senior category and I got a medal, last time I participated in the junior category... I never thought that I would be getting a medal in such a big competition," Nandini Agasara told ANI.
