MS Dhoni Blasted In Epic Rant By World Cup Winner: "Can't Keep Messing It Up. Walk Away"

Is the end near for MS Dhoni? Krishnamachari Srikkanth certainly think so. According to the former India opener, Dhoni's struggles seem more than evident, adding that it's time for him to call it quits as far as his Indian Premier League (IPL) career is concerned. Dhoni, who will turn 44 in July this year, replaced Ruturaj Gaikwad as CSK captain mid-season after an elbow injury cut short the latter's campaign. However, CSK failed to qualify for the playoffs for a second successive season, with Dhoni looking cluless at times.

"Prospect Of India, Pakistan Not Playing...": BCCI Source's Big Revelation Ahead Of ICC Meet

The future of Indo-Pak cricket at ICC events is set to be discussed at the annual conference of the sport's governing body, scheduled in Singapore from July 17-20. Both countries only play each other at multi team events but the recent military conflict has fuelled speculation over the future of the blockbuster clash in ICC competitions starting with next year's T20 World Cup to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. "The issue is bound to come up for discussion at the annual conference. While prospect of India and Pakistan not playing in ICC knockouts is unlikely, not drawing them in the same group, which has been the norm at ICC events, is a possibility," a BCCI source told PTI.

"Matter Of Time...": Bio-Mechanics Expert Reveals Secret Behind Success Of Neeraj Chopra

It was only a matter of time before Neeraj Chopra broke through the elusive 90m barrier, according to his former coach Klaus Bartonietz, who described the double Olympic medallist as a highly attentive and creative athlete constantly seeking to refine and improve his craft. Chopra opened his season in stunning fashion as he sent his spear to 90.23m in the Diamond League in Doha last week to finally enter the elusive 90m club. "It was just a matter of time (that he would breach the 90m mark)," Bartonietz told PTI when asked about his former ward's latest achievement.

IPL 2025 Points Table: MI Seal Playoff Spot, Race For Top Two Finish Heats Up

Suryakumar Yadav's doughty 73 not out proved to be the difference as Mumbai Indians sealed the fourth and final play-off berth with a 59-run trouncing of Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League in Mumbai on Wednesday. Suryakumar's masterclass — a 43-ball knock with seven fours and half a dozen sixes in adverse situation — paved the way for a dominating win. The five-time champions had not made the play-offs last year. Delhi Capitals, who came into this contest with their fair share of opportunity to reach the final four, saw the tables being turned on them when MI batters collected 48 runs off the last two overs.

"So Stupid": On India Star Javelin Thrower Failing Dope Test, Former Coach Says This

He may not have coached him as closely as Neeraj Chopra but Shivpal Singh's second doping offence has infuriated celebrated German bio-mechanics expert Klaus Bartonietz, who cannot make sense of the Olympian's "stupid" conduct while claiming to be a proud representative of India. Bartonietz lambasted Shivpal for "cheating" despite coming from a proud sporting family. The German bio-mechanics expert, who guided Chopra to a historic gold at the Tokyo Olympics and a silver at the Paris Games, didn't hide his anger as he lambasted Shivpal for a second doping offence that could lead to an eight-year ban.

Rohit Sharma's 1st Innings After Test Retirement Ends On 5; Internet Is Unforgiving

Suryakumar Yadav's resolute 73 not out and late fireworks from Naman Dhir lifted Mumbai Indians to 180/5 on a sluggish surface exploited well by Delhi Capitals spinners Kuldeep Yadav (1/25) and Vipraj Nigam (0/25) in their IPL clash here on Wednesday. On an uncharacteristic Wankhede Stadium pitch which had plenty of grip and turn for spinners and slow cutters doing the job for fast bowlers, Suryakumar dug in to produce a quality knock for the five-time IPL winners. Suryakumar struck seven fours and four sixes to make 73 not out off 43 balls while forging two crucial stands which revived a faltering innings.
