Australia Test captain Pat Cummins expects greater workload with the ball for all-rounders Cameron Green and Mitchell Marsh against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy this summer. Cummins wants both the all-rounders to share the workload with the team's frontline pace attack in the gruelling five-Test series starting November. "It's been huge (having the all-rounders). In some ways we haven't had to use them as much as we thought we would. Which is a great thing. The last couple of summers have been pretty light (with) quick Test matches," Cummins said at the launch of Play Cricket week.

PCI President Devendra Jhajharia Hails Growing Support For Para-Athletes Ahead Of Paris 2024

Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) president Devendra Jhajharia said that the support given to para-athletes in recent times with many corporates stepping in to assist the players has given a huge boost to the morale of the athletes. India is set to field its largest-ever contingent for the Paralympics, with 84 athletes competing in 12 sports, including archery, athletics, badminton, canoeing, cycling, blind judo, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, and taekwondo. The games commence on August 28 and promise to showcase the exceptional talents and dedication of India's para-athletes.

Quarter-final Fixtures For Durand Cup 2024 Announced

Defending champions Mohun Bagan FC will take on Punjab FC as the quarterfinals for the ongoing edition of the Durand Cup were announced after a draw was held. As per an Indian Super League (ISL) press release, the draw was held virtually with representatives of the eight qualified teams present. After the FC Goa versus Shillong Lajong FC Group F game in Shillong concluded on Saturday and it became clear who the eight qualified teams were, a video call was arranged where representatives of all qualified teams came on board.

India all-rounder Deepti Sharma played a crucial role with both bat and ball as London Spirit lifted their maiden Women's Hundred title, beating Welsh Fire by four wickets in the final at the Lord's in London. Deepti snapped a wicket giving away 23 runs and then smashed a run-a-ball 16, including the winning six off Hayley Matthews, as the Indian and England's Charlie Dean jumped into each other's arms in celebration.
