Indian Formula 2 driver Kush Maini suffered a massive crash at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix F2 feature race on Sunday. Starting fifth on the grid, Kush Maini's car failed to launch off the line at the start of the race. With his car stalled on the grid, a lot of cars managed to evade Maini, before he was slammed into by a car from behind causing a huge crash and immediately bringing out the red flag. Thankfully, Maini and all the drivers involved in the incident managed to walk away safe.

India pacer Mohammed Shami wants to ensure 100 per cent fitness post ankle surgery rehabilitation and, if need be, he will play domestic cricket without setting a timeline on his much-anticipated international return. Shami last played in the 2023 ODI World Cup final and has since been sidelined by injury for which he underwent surgery earlier this year. Wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson left everyone utterly stunned with his batting heroics on Sunday. Playing for India D against India A, Samson played a quick knock of 40 off 45 and kept his side in the mammoth chase of 488. On Day 4 of the second round match, India D needed 426 runs more to win with Ricky Bhui and Yash Dubey standing unbeaten at the crease at 62/1. Bhui and Dubey's partnership kept India D in the game but Shams Mulani helped India A to bounce back.

Star India pacer Mohammed Shami provided his fitness update, saying he is working hard to make a comeback soon but he doesn't want to rush and risk getting injured again. Shami is making significant strides in his recovery from an ankle injury that has kept him out of cricket since the ODI World Cup last year. Shami is currently in the final stages of his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The India pacer already resumed bowling in July for the first time after his surgery and has been gradually increasing his bowling workload, reporting no pain.
