England Skipper Ben Stokes Reveals Text Message He Sent To Virat Kohli After His Test Retirement

England Test captain Ben Stokes will miss batting maestro Virat Kohli's cover drive, a shot that will "live long in the memory" and highlight one aspect that India will miss about its stalwart in the upcoming five high-stakes Tests between the two sides, set to begin on June 20. More than a month before India's gruelling Test tour of England, Virat bid farewell to red-ball cricket with a heartfelt note on Instagram, days after his long-time compatriot Rohit retired from the format.

Watch: Rishabh Pant Slams No-Look Six For LSG vs GT. Shot Goes Viral

Rishabh Pant played a solid cameo as Lucknow Super Giants notched 235/2 against Gujarat Titans in an IPL 2025 match on Thursday. Under fire for a poor run of form, Pant came in to bat 19th over. Even then, he made an impact. On the first ball of the 20th over, he hit Kagiso Rabada for a six. Then on the fifth ball of the last over, he hit a no-look six. The video of the shot has gone viral.

Malaysia Masters: HS Prannoy, Satish Karunakaran, Kidambi Srikanth Register Wins; PV Sindhu Exits

India's male shuttlers, led by the experienced duo of H S Prannoy and Kidambi Srikanth, were off to a brilliant start but it was curtains for double Olympic-medallist PV Sindhu as she bowed out with a first-round loss at the Malaysia Masters badminton tournament in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday. Prannoy and Srikanth were joined by Satish Karunakaran in the second round of the event. Taking the court first, 2023 world championships bronze medallist Prannoy stunned fifth seed Kenta Nishimoto of Japan 19-21 21-17 21-16 in a hard-fought contest that lasted one hour and 22 minutes.

Preity Zinta Moves Court Against Punjab Kings Co-owners Over Disputed Meeting: Report

Punjab Kings co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has filed a legal case against her fellow co-directors Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia in a Chandigarh court. The three are directors of KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited, the company that owns the Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Punjab Kings. Preity Zinta has challenged the legality of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on April 21. She claims the meeting was held without following proper procedures under the Companies Act, 2013, and other secretarial rules. According to her, she had objected to the meeting in an email on April 10, but her objections were ignored. She alleges that Mohit Burman went ahead with the meeting with support from Ness Wadia.

No Capital Gains For Delhi: Support Staff's Poor Tactical Calls, Captain Axar Patel's Dip In Bowling Form

The IPL title has eluded Delhi Capitals for 18 seasons now, and it won't be a surprise if the script is repeated in its 19th season. Delhi Capitals have more often than not lost their IPL seasons at the auction table itself save for a couple of seasons when Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly had put forth a quality side. Rishabh Pant's unfortunate accident did create a void in the 2023 season and since then, things have once again gone off the boil. The swapping of management from JSW to GMR (as per agreement) also meant that new coaching staff headlined by Hemang Badani and Venugopal Rao came in with fresh philosophy and also got rid of Pant before the auctions.

'No Comment On Neeraj Chopra...': Arshad Nadeem's "Conflict" Remark

Pakistan's star javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has refused to comment on his arch-rival Neeraj Chopra, who was recently trolled for inviting the Olympic gold medallist for the now-postponed NC Classic in Bengaluru, due to ongoing cross-border tensions. The deadly terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's popular tourist destination Pahalgam, which killed 26 people, took place before Neeraj had extended his invitation to the Pakistani thrower, but the Indian ace was still criticised on social media.

Suryakumar Yadav Equals Massive World Record Of Temba Bavuma In T20 Cricket

Mumbai Indians' (MI) dynamic batter Suryakumar Yadav levelled the all-time joint-highest streak for successive 25-plus scores in T20s following his masterclass against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Suryakumar lit the Wankhede with his swashbuckling 73* to turn the tide in favour of the hosts as Mumbai drubbed Delhi with a commanding 59-run triumph to blaze their way to the final spot in the playoffs at the expense of the Capitals. The 34-year-old's match-defining effort was his 13th 25-plus consecutive score in the T20s, taking him level with South Africa Test captain Temba Bavuma's tally for the elusive milestone and powered Mumbai to a daunting 180/5.

Harith Noah Withdraws From W2RCs South African Safari Rally After Unfortunate Injury

Indian rally-raid rider Harith Noah was forced to withdraw from the South African Safari Rally, Round 3 of the 2025 FIA-FIM World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), following a crash at the beginning of Stage 1. Harith encountered a jackal that jumped in front of his bike and while attempting to brake and maneuver around the animal, he crashed, resulting in significant swelling in his right hand. He got up and showed resilience, riding 20 kilometres more before withdrawing due to loss of grip strength and pain from the fall. Harith had made a good start to the rally, finishing 5th in the Prologue Stage of Rally 2 with a timing of 7:44.1s, marking his return to rally-raid after he had an injury-led exit at the Dakar Rally, earlier in January which required surgery to his wrist.
