Rishabh Pant played a solid cameo as Lucknow Super Giants notched 235/2 against Gujarat Titans in an IPL 2025 match on Thursday. Under fire for a poor run of form, Pant came in to bat 19th over. Even then, he made an impact. On the first ball of the 20th over, he hit Kagiso Rabada for a six. Then on the fifth ball of the last over, he hit a no-look six. The video of the shot has gone viral.

Prannoy and Srikanth were joined by Satish Karunakaran in the second round of the event. Taking the court first, 2023 world championships bronze medallist Prannoy stunned fifth seed Kenta Nishimoto of Japan 19-21 21-17 21-16 in a hard-fought contest that lasted one hour and 22 minutes.

Preity Zinta Moves Court Against Punjab Kings Co-owners Over Disputed Meeting: Report

Punjab Kings co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has filed a legal case against her fellow co-directors Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia in a Chandigarh court. The three are directors of KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited, the company that owns the Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Punjab Kings. Preity Zinta has challenged the legality of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on April 21. She claims the meeting was held without following proper procedures under the Companies Act, 2013, and other secretarial rules. According to her, she had objected to the meeting in an email on April 10, but her objections were ignored. She alleges that Mohit Burman went ahead with the meeting with support from Ness Wadia.

Suryakumar lit the Wankhede with his swashbuckling 73* to turn the tide in favour of the hosts as Mumbai drubbed Delhi with a commanding 59-run triumph to blaze their way to the final spot in the playoffs at the expense of the Capitals. The 34-year-old's match-defining effort was his 13th 25-plus consecutive score in the T20s, taking him level with South Africa Test captain Temba Bavuma's tally for the elusive milestone and powered Mumbai to a daunting 180/5.

Harith Noah Withdraws From W2RCs South African Safari Rally After Unfortunate Injury

Indian rally-raid rider Harith Noah was forced to withdraw from the South African Safari Rally, Round 3 of the 2025 FIA-FIM World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), following a crash at the beginning of Stage 1. Harith encountered a jackal that jumped in front of his bike and while attempting to brake and maneuver around the animal, he crashed, resulting in significant swelling in his right hand. He got up and showed resilience, riding 20 kilometres more before withdrawing due to loss of grip strength and pain from the fall. Harith had made a good start to the rally, finishing 5th in the Prologue Stage of Rally 2 with a timing of 7:44.1s, marking his return to rally-raid after he had an injury-led exit at the Dakar Rally, earlier in January which required surgery to his wrist.
