Iceland Cricket faces flak for Virat Kohli's century drought tweet

Virat Kohli ended his century drought in international cricket last year by smashing his maiden T20I ton against Afghanistan during an Asia Cup encounter. He followed that up with three more centuries in the ODIs against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.But Kohli's agonising wait of scoring a hundred in the Test cricket continues with the Indian batter's last ton coming in November 2019 against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens.Kohli also failed to make an impact in the ongoing Test series against Australia with the scores of 12, 44 and 20 so far in the first two Tests.The Iceland Cricket, who are very active on social media, took to Twitter to highlight the fact that Kohli has not scored a century in 23 Tests.

Virat Kohli, after a couple of years when he could not score a ton, is back among run in the white ball formats. Since the 2022 Asia Cup, Kohli has been scoring well in limited overs cricket. However, the same cannot be said for the Test format. He has not scored a half-century in his last 13 Test innings. His scores in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy reads - 44, 20 and 12. The former Indian cricket team skipper's last Test ton came against Bangladesh in November, 2019. Iceland Cricket highlighted this aspect in a tweet recently.
