MANCHESTER, England : UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin mocked the "fantastic" Super League on Thursday, hours after the European Court of Justice ruled that UEFA and FIFA contravened EU law by preventing the league's formation.
:Manchester United said they remain committed to playing in competitions run by UEFA following Thursday's EU court verdict which said European soccer governing body and FIFA contravened EU law by preventing the formation of a Super League.
International club football faces a potentially fragmented and uncertain future after UEFA and FIFA regulations giving them the right to block new competitions such as the European Super League were ruled to be contrary to EU law.
