'My level's there' - Dan Evans satisfied with US Open performance despite third round exit to Marin Cilic
Dan Evans is remaining positive after his run in the US Open was ended at the third-round stage after defeat to 2014 winner Marin Cilic. Despite a valiant effort from Evans, he lost to Cilic 7-6(11) 6-7 (3-7) 6-2 7-5 in a match lasting four hours where the Croatian hit 74 winners compared to the Brit's 27. Ad Evans, who was hoping to match last year’s run at Flushing Meadows when he reached the last 16, admitted his opponent was simply too strong.
