Young Indian batter Shubman Gill slammed his maiden hundred for Glamorgan against Sussex in their County Championship Division 2 match in Hove on Tuesday. Batting on 91 overnight, Gill notched his eighth first-class century in 123 balls, displaying his wide array of elegant shots all around the County Ground in Hove. Overall Gill smashed 16 boundaries and two sixes in his knock of 119 off 139 balls before being dismissed by off-spinner Jack Carson when he holed out to Sean Hunt.
India batter Cheteshwar Pujara was in top form for Sussex in the One Day Cup. Known as a Test specialist, Pujara notched up 624 runs from nine matches, including three centuries and two fifties at an average of almost 90, striking at 112. Pujara, over the years, has struggled to get into India's white-ball squads, having played just five ODIs in his career so far. Although he has been picked by a few Indian Premier League teams, Pujara has not been able to break into the playing XI. He was last picked in the IPL by Chennai Super Kings in 2021, but did not play a single game.

Yadav injured his quad muscles in the Royal London One-Day Cup match at Radlett on August 21 and then left for India for rehab.

Yadav injured his quad muscles in the Royal London One-Day Cup match at Radlett on August 21 and then left for India for rehab. He will not be available for Middlesex's last two matches of the country championships this month -- against Leicestershire and Worcestershire, the club said in an official release.
