Brett Hodgson has made three changes to his squad for this weekend’s clash with Catalans Dragons. The Black and Whites will travel to Perpignan on Saturday looking to bounce back to winning ways after falling short last time out against Wakefield Trinity at Belle Vue.
England and New Zealand will square off in the second Test of the three-match series, beginning Friday at Trent Bridge. This is a must-win Test for the Kane Williamson-led side if they want to win the series. Joe Root had played an unbeaten 115-run knock to help England get the better of the Kiwis in the Lord's Test and as a result, Stokes got off to a winning start. Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum would look to build on the momentum. New Zealand's top-order disappointed in the first Test and they would look to come good at Trent Bridge.
Jack Leach has kept his place in an unchanged England XI for the second Test against New Zealand at Nottingham's Trent Bridge starting Friday after being passed fit following concussion. Leach missed the majority of England's five-wicket win in the series opener at Lord's after falling on his head while saving a boundary on the first morning at the 'Home of Cricket'. He was replaced by fellow spinner Matt Parkinson, England's first concussion substitute, but has been cleared to take the field in Nottingham.
The ongoing T20I series between Sri Lanka and Australia has been a one-sided affair so far as the visitors have managed to take an unassailable 2-0 lead ahead of the final game on Saturday. After being bowled out for 128 in the first match, Sri Lanka lost the game by 10 wickets. Australian bowlers also led the charge in the second game as Sri Lanka were restricted to a total of 124 for nine. Kane Richardson and Jhye Richardson took four and three wickets, respectively, while Glenn Maxwell also managed to bag a couple.

Australia pacer Mitchell Starc has been ruled out of the third T20I against Sri Lanka after he sustained an injury in his left index finger during the first match of the series in Colombo on Tuesday, Cricket Australia confirmed on Thursday. Jhye Richardson, who had previously replaced Starc in Australia's side for the second T20I and took 3 for 26 in the three-wicket win in game two on Wednesday, has been named into Australia's ODI squad as a replacement, in case the left-arm seamer does not recover by then.
England will aim to carry on from where they left off under their new leadership duo of captain Ben Stokes and coach Brendon McCullum, the former New Zealand skipper, when they face the Black Caps in the second Test in Nottingham starting Friday. They are 1-0 up in this three-match series after a five-wicket victory over New Zealand at Lord's last week gave England just their second win in 18 matches at this level. Now Stuart Broad wants to gee up the crowd at Trent Bridge, his home ground, just as he did in changing the momentum at Lord's, when New Zealand lost three wickets in three balls to spark a collapse of six for 34 on the third day.
