David Warner Suffers Injury Scare Ahead Of IPL 2024, To Miss 3rd T20I vs New Zealand

He was forced to leave the field and Finn Allen took over the role behind the stumps. For the rest of the match, Conway didn't come out to field or bat. The initial X-ray scans ruled out a fracture.

New Zealand Bowler Kyle Jamieson Sidelined By Back Injury

Fast bowler Kyle Jamieson faces another long spell on the sidelines after suffering a stress fracture in his back, New Zealand Cricket announced Saturday. Jamieson has been ruled out of cricket for at least six months after scans revealed the injury following New Zealand's first Test win over South Africa in Mount Maunganui this month. The towering seamer took match figures of 6-93 but later complained of back pain, which ruled him out of the second Test. The injury is in the same location as a fracture which required an operation in February last year but team medical staff have decided against another operation.

Recalled South African spinner Dane Piedt claimed five New Zealand wickets on Wednesday to give the understrength tourists a 31-run lead at stumps on the second day of the second Test. New Zealand's batting succumbed to a disciplined attack led by Piedt, in his first Test since 2019, to be all out for 211 in response to South Africa's 242 in Hamilton.
