Chennai Super Kings skipper Ravindra Jadeja became the most successful bowler against Royal Challengers Bangalore, as he holds the record for the most number of wickets against the franchise. Jadeja achieved this feat on Tuesday when he scalped three wickets against RCB, here at Dr DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. He now has a total of 26 wickets against RCB.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered their first win of ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season on Tuesday as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 23 runs at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. Shivam Dube and Robin Uthappa scored 95 and 88 respectively as CSK posted 216/4 in the 20 overs and then the Ravindra Jadeja-led side followed it up with an all-round bowling performance to outclass RCB. RCB were never in with a chance as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. To add to CSK's celebrations, Ambati Rayudu took a blinder of a catch in the 16th over to dismiss RCB's No.9 batter Akash Deep.

RCB bowlers, who have conceded 56 sixes so far in this season, bore the brunt of Uthappa and Dube after CSK lost Ruturaj Gaikwad (17) and Moeen Ali (3) cheaply. Apart from 17 sixes conceded against CSK, RCB conceded 14 against Punjab Kings, 11 against Rajasthan Royals and 7 each against Mumbai Indian and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively in this season.

Police have registered an offence against two police constables for clicking photos allegedly under influence of alcohol inside the bio-bubble created for IPL players to avoid spread of COVID-19 at the D Y Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, an official said on Tuesday. The incident occurred on Monday evening when the two police constables were in uniform and deployed in the stadium in the Nerul area for providing security to IPL matches, he said. The constables, Ravindra Mate (33), working with the Navi Mumbai police, and Narendra Nagpure (36), attached with the Thane police, left their place of duty in the stadium and entered the bio-bubble, the official said.
