MONACO: Formula One's governing body defended the handling of the showcase Monaco Grand Prix after rain delayed the start for more than an hour on Sunday, and a crash then caused another long stoppage.

MONACO : Ferrari lodged a protest about race winner Sergio Perez and Formula One championship leader Max Verstappen on Sunday after the Red Bull drivers finished first and third respectively in the showcase Monaco Grand Prix.
Ferrari team principal Matteo Binotto called on the FIA to act after two Red Bulls appeared to cross the yellow line markers in the pits of the Monaco Grand Prix. Both Red Bull drivers, championship leader Max Verstappen and race winner Sergio Perez, seemed to cross the lines when they left the pits during the race.
Both Max Verstappen and team-mate Sergio Perez have been summoned to see the FIA race stewards for "allegedly failing to stay to the right of the yellow line at pit exit".
