Normally, when a player scores a hundred, the home crowd erupt in jubilation and sing songs of praise for the player. However, nothing of that sort was on display despite the home team captain jumping in the air and fist pumping to celebrate his 15th ton. Well, the catch was that Babar was still on 99 not out when he punched the air in delight after he completed running two runs. The hilarious incident was even acknowledged by the players on the field who were left in splits, something which even put a smile on Babar's face later.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam is on a record-breaking spree in the ongoing series against Australia. In the first ODI, he had become the second-fastest batter to register 4,000 ODI runs and in the second ODI, he scored a swashbuckling century and as a result, he surpassed modern-day greats Hashim Amla and Virat Kohli to register yet another record in the 50-over format. In the second ODI, Babar scored 114 runs off just 83 balls to help Pakistan chase down 349.

Pakistan produced a stunning batting display to record their highest-ever succesful run-chase in ODIs, beating Australia by six wickets to level the three-match series 1-1. Chasing an improbable 349 for a win in the second ODI, Imam-ul-Haq and captain Babar Azam hit sensational centuries as Pakistan overhauled the target with six balls remaining. Following the win in the second ODI, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a video of Babar sharing a stern word with Imam after the latter's dismal in the opening ODI. The video then goes on to show Babar celebrating Imam's century and giving him a big hug.

The Babar Azam-led team chased down Australia's total of 348 runs with six wickets and six balls to spare as they recorded their highest successful run-chase in ODI cricket. They surpassed their previous best of 329 runs, achieved against Bangladesh in Mirpur in 2014.
