Mumbai Indians beat UP Warriorz by 72 runs in the Eliminator clash to enter the finals of the Women's Premier League in Mumbai on Friday. MI will face Delhi Capitals in the title clash on Sunday. Sent into bat, Mumbai Indians scored 182 for four. MI were off to a decent start but both their openers -- Hayley Matthews and Yastika Bhatia -- could not capitalise on their starts. Nat Sciver-Brunt top-scored for MI with a blistering 72 not out off 38 balls, and while skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was out for 14, Melie Kerr chipped in with a 19-ball 29 before Pooja Vastrakar hit 11 in four balls. In reply, MI bowled out UPW for 110 in 17.4 overs, with Kiran Navgire making 43 off 27 balls.

Mumbai Indians' 20-year-old pacer Issy Wong created history in the inaugural edition of the Women's Premier League, bagging the tournament's first-ever hat-trick in the Eliminator clash against UP Warriorz. Issy stepped up when her franchise needed her the most, taking a total of 4 wickets for just 15 runs in 4 overs as Mumbai went on to beat UP by a whopping 72 runs in the virtual semi-final on Friday. In the process, Mumbai entered the final of the tournament, setting up a date with Delhi Capitals.

Delhi Capitals Get Workload Monitoring Report Of India Players From NCA

The BCCI and the Indian team management are keeping a tab on workload management of national team players but there has been no specific directive for the IPL franchises as yet, said Delhi Capitals CEO Dheeraj Malhotra on Friday. Malhotra, who has worked as a general manager with the BCCI, said that the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has shared a detailed workload monitoring report of all the Indian players associated with respective franchises, which obviously helps the IPL team's medical unit to work in cohesion with the parent body.
