"Rishabh Pant Must Take His Time To Heal Properly": Sourav Ganguly

Former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly says India's star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant "must take his time to heal properly" from his injuries, before launching his bid for a comeback to competitive cricket. Pant was involved in a road accident in the early hours of December 30 as he was driving from New Delhi to Roorkee. He is currently recovering after undergoing treatment for his injuries. Former India captain Ganguly said that the Delhi Capitals franchise, of which Pant has been the skipper in last few seasons, will definitely miss the wicketkeeper-batter in the upcoming Indian Premier League. Ganguly is serving as DC's director of cricket.

Meg Lanning's Delhi Capitals may have been the first team to enter the WPL final but the summit clash against Mumbai Indians will be a "massive challenge", a game in which she wants dashing batter Shafali Verma to come in with a clear mind. "Both Mumbai and Delhi have been consistent throughout the tournament. We have had two good contests. I am looking forward to taking on a really good team, they played some really good cricket last night," Lanning told the media during the pre-match press conference at the Brabourne Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Harmanpreet Kaur's Form A Concern For Mumbai Indians As Delhi Capitals' Meg Lanning Aims To Add WPL Title To T20 WC Trophy

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur's form is a huge concern as Mumbai Indians look to cap their superb Women's Premier League season (WPL) by defeating Meg Lanning's Delhi Capitals in the final of the inaugural edition of the tournament in Mumbai on Sunday. After three half centuries earlier on in the tournament, form has deserted the India skipper, and, had it not been for Nat Sciver-Brunt's unbeaten 72 in the Eliminator against UP Warriorz on Friday, the script of the tournament could have been different. With Harmanpreet managing just 14 runs in the Eliminator, things could have gone downhill for the Mumbai franchise, but luckily Nat Sciver made the most of the dropped catch to make a mockery of the Warriorz bowling.

Turkish Boxer Survives Earthquake, Enters World Championships

2023 will always be remembered as the annus horribilis of years in over a century by the Turks. While the nation lifts itself after a devastating earthquake and a series of aftershocks, it has left a scar on many. Rabia Topuz is one such. She was 5 weeks from boarding the flight to India, when on 6th February, an Earthquake measuring 7.8 on ritcher scale razed her home in Malatya in the Eastern Anatolian region of Turkey.

'Impact Player' Rule In Indian Premier League 2023 Will 'Negate' Some Stars: Ricky Ponting

Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting has said that the use of "Impact Player" in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) will totally depend on if you bat or bowl first, and it actually almost negates the role of allrounders in the game now. Tactical substitutions will be introduced in this season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After being used in the domestic T20 competition Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the first time in October-November, the concept will "add a new dimension to IPL".
