Australia batter David Warner on Friday wrote an emotional post for his wife Candice, and his daughters Ivy, Indi and Isla ahead of the team's departure for the upcoming tour of Pakistan. Taking to Instagram, David Warner shared a photo collage with his wife and daughters, saying that it is "always hard to say goodbye" to his family. "Always hard to say goodbye to my girls! We've had lots of fun over the last few months, but now it's time to get back into it for a few weeks before we reunite once again. I will miss you all soo much @candywarner1," Warner captioned the post.

For the first time since its inception in 2008, the Indian Premier League's (IPL) league phase will see the teams divided into two virtual groups. The IPL Governing Council on Friday announced that IPL 2022 will begin from March 26 with the final slated on May 29. The 70 matches in the league phase will be hosted across four venues in Mumbai and Pune. Over the years, IPL's league stage has always been played in a home-away format, where each team plays the same opposition twice but in the 15th edition, there will be a change. The number of teams in IPL 2022 has been increased to 10 with the addition of two new franchises - Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants - but the number of matches per team remains 14.

Davis Cup tie between India and Denmark won't be held within a bio-bubble but appropriate COVID-19 protocols will be followed during the March 4-5 contest, home team skipper Rohit Rajpal said on Friday. India will host Denmark on the lush green grass court of Delhi Gymkhana Club for the World Group I tie. There is a sharp dip in COVID-19 cases in the country and that must have encouraged the DGC and All India Tennis Association (AITA) officials to look for a less stricter arrangement although it remains a referee's choice.

Premier League will see a tweak in format as 10 teams will be divided into groups of five but the number of matches per side will remain 14. As per groupings released by BCCI on Friday, group A comprises Mumbai Indians, KKR, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Supergiants. The group B will have Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans.
