Mohammed Siraj bowled a brilliant spell in Ranchi as India beat South Africa in the 2nd ODI on Sunday. However, in a hilarious instance, the pacer tried a cheeky run-out which ended up in four byes for South Africa. In the 48th over, Siraj got the ball to beat Keshav Maharaj. Sanju Samson, from behind the stumps, threw the ball back to Siraj, who saw non-striker David Miller standing outside his crease. He tried to have a quick throw at the stumps to run Miller out, but he missed and the ball raced away to the boundary.

Olympian Srihari Nataraj ended his campaign in the National Games swimming competition with his sixth gold medal in the men's 100m freestyle at the Sardar Patel Aquatics Complex in Rajkot on Saturday. Nataraj won in 50.41 seconds, a new National Games record. Through the week, the swimmer from Karnataka watched his senior Sajan Prakash (Kerala) claim five gold, two silver and a bronze medal. On Saturday, Nataraj stormed to a 100m freestyle win with Sajan finishing seventh. He accomplished his mission of claiming the two freestyle sprint gold medals to add to the two backstroke titles besides anchoring Karnataka relay squads to two gold.

Shooter Vivaan Kapoor wins first gold for Rajasthan

Vivan, who had scored 118 in the qualification round, scored 31 in the final to leave veteran shooter from Punjab, Zoravar Singh Sandhu, in the second place with the score of 26.
