Daniel Vettori was Tuesday named as an assistant to Australian cricket coach Andrew McDonald, who said the former New Zealand captain's knowledge and experience would be invaluable. All-rounder Vettori played 113 Tests and 295 one-day internationals for the Black Caps and worked alongside McDonald with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He will continue as head coach of the Birmingham Phoenix in England's The Hundred. IPL 2022: How successful was the 'win toss and bowl' formula for teams in the league phase?

Indian Premier League. A total of 70 matches were played since March 26 and this year's cricketing extravaganza was no different than its predecessors -- bringing out the highest quality of cricket almost every single evening over the last one and a half months. Restricted to just 4 venues due to Covid, the groundsmen at the Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai and Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune did a fantastic job to ensure that the pitches, which had to be reused, did not bring down the quality of cricket. "Getting The Review Right Is Solely On...": Hogg On Rishabh Pant's DRS Blunder That Might Have Cost Delhi Capitals A Playoffs Spot

Delhi Capitals suffered a major heartbreak as they lost their final IPL 2022 match to Mumbai Indians and thus failed to qualify for the playoffs as Royal Challengers Bangalore went through. A major factor in DC's defeat was the 11-ball knock of 34 runs by Singaporean big-hitter Tim David, who swung the match in Mumbai's favour.
