YANQING, China : Laura Nolte and Deborah Levi of Germany won the gold medal in the two-woman bobsleigh at the Beijing Winter Olympics on Saturday.
Sui Wenjing and Han Cong finally fulfilled their potential to become Winter Olympic figure skating champions with the tightest of victories in the pairs competition in Beijing. In front of a delighted but reduced home crowd, the Chinese couple beat Russians Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov by just 0.63 points.

The German cross-country skiing team have angrily denied suggestions that their Olympic athletes have been using a banned form of ski wax in Beijing. Germany surprisingly beat heavily favoured Sweden to win gold in the women's team sprint and finished second in the women's 4x5km relay.
British sprinter Richard Kilty said he missed out on sending his son to school with an Olympic medal because team mate Chijindu Ujah failed to adhere to rules that would have prevented his positive dope test and their Tokyo silvers being stripped.
