World champion Ojas Deotale and 2014 Asian Games silver medalist Abhishek Verma secured third-fourth place finish as India took the second seedings in men's team compound qualifiers. The 27-year-old Jyothi set the tone in the first-half of the session when she edged her South Korean rivals to top the qualification with 704 points, five clear of So Chaewon.

The Indian cricket team was seen supporting the Indian men's hockey team in the high-octane match against Pakistan at the Hangzhou Asian Games on Saturday. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh and other members of the Indian team attended the match. In the match, India beat Pakistan in a one-sided match by 10-2. Captain Harmanpreet Singh found the net four times as a rampaging India hammered Pakistan 10-2 to record their biggest-ever win over the arch-rivals in a one-sided Pool A match to book a semifinal berth in the men's hockey competition at the Asian Games in Hangzhou on Saturday. Harmanpreet scored in the 11th, 17th, 33rd and 34th minutes while Varun Kumar (41st and 54th) struck twice. Mandeep Singh (8th), Sumit (30th), Samsher Singh (46th) and Lalit Kumar Upadhyay (49th) were the other goal getters.
