Fast bowler Kagiso Rabada returns to the Proteas fold as Test coach Shukri Conrad on Monday announced a 15-man squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh next month.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) has confirmed that it will be travelling to Bangladesh for a two-match Test series beginning on October 21. The board also added that the squad for the series will be announced later on Monday. In a statement, CSA said a security assessment was recently conducted by its' Operations Manager, Team Security Manager, Safety and Security Consultant, and a representative of the South African Cricketers' Association.
Reiterating a long-held position, BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla on Monday said a decision on whether the national cricket team will travel to Pakistan for next year's ICC Champions Trophy will depend on government approval. Pakistan are scheduled to host the prestigious ODI tournament from February 19 to March 9. "No decision has been taken (yet). But our policy is that for international tours, we always seek the permission of the government. It's up to the government to decide whether our team should go to any country or our team should not go to any country," Shukla told reporters.
Indian cricket team star batter Virat Kohli added another record to his already illustrious career as he became the fastest player to reach 27000 international runs during Day 4 of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur on Monday. Kohli shattered legendary India batter Sachin Tendulkar's record (623 innings) as he was able to achieve the feat in just 594 innings. As a result, Kohli became the only cricketer ever to finish 27000 international runs in under 600 innings. The other players who have achieved this feat are former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting and Sri Lanka legend Kumar Sangakkara.

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scripted history in Test cricket as he dismissed Bangladesh's Khaled Ahmed on Day 4 of the second Test in Kanpur. With the wicket, Jadeja reached 300 scalps in Test cricket, With the milestone, he became the fastest player from the country as well as from the continent to claim the double of 3000 runs and 300 wickets in Test cricket. Jadeja is also only the third Indian to complete this rare double, with Kapil Dev and Ravichandran Ashwin being the other two. However, the southpaw reached the milestone in fewer games in comparison to the other two.
India's opening batters Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal smashes Test cricket world record as they came out to bat against Bangladesh on Day 4 of the second Test in Kanpur. After bowling out Bangladesh for 233 runs in the first innings, Rohit and Jaiswal showed attacking intent from ball one, smashing the opponent team's bowlers all across the park. Rohit and Jaiswal mostly dealt in fours and sixes as they brought up the 50-run mark in just three overs. It was the first instance of a team scoring 50 runs inside the first three overs in Test cricket history since data collection began in the sport.
