Out-of-favour Pakistan leg-spinner Usman Qadir has opened up on his friendship with captain Babar Azam, which dates back to their U-15 days. Usman, who is the son of Pakistan great Abdul Qadir, hasn't played for Pakistan since the T20I series against England last year in September. Pakistan Players Reluctant To Sign Central Contracts Due To This Reason: Report
Pakistani players are reluctant to sign a long-term central contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after differences over sale of licensed digital rights of players between the two parties. Though the last set of central contracts of the players expired on June 30, the PCB has so far not been able to convince them to sign the new contracts. The Pakistan squad has already reached Sri Lanka for their One-Day series against Afghanistan and for the subsequent Asia Cup.
