Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney makes brutal Manchester United 'keeper jibe after Paul Mullin injury
Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney has taken aim at Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop after Paul Mullin was left nursing a punctured lung following the Reds' midweek defeat in San Diego.
The incident occurred in the 13th minute when Mullin was bearing down on goal. Sensing the danger, Bishop rushed out of his goal but instead of taking the ball, he collided with the Red Dragons' top goalscorer from last season.
Bishop was immediately booked by the referee but the forward needed oxygen as he was helped off the pitch. After the full-time whistle, Wrexham's manager Phil Parkinson declared United's 23-year-old should have been sent off, adding the youngster should avoid him as he was 'not very happy'.
