breakingnews.ie

After a long few months without inter-county action, the Ladies' National League gets underway for several counties on Sunday.

As Mayo prepare for the start of their season, one of their greatest ever players takes charge in Liam McHale. They get their Division One campaign underway at home to 2021 and 2022 All-Ireland champions Meath.

Ahead of this weekend, defender Saoirse Lally spoke to Breakingnews.ie on what training has been like under Liam McHale, as they aim for a string start to the season. "Liam is class, he really knows what he is talking about.

He is one of the best Mayo players himself, so it is really great to have that experience and wisdom. "We have Kevin Mortimer as well; he has a daughter on the team - Jenna.
