Wolvaardt to lead Proteas women in historic multi-format tour against Australia

Proteas star batter Laura Wolvaardt will lead the Proteas women in a multi-format tour against Australia starting this month.Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday named a 15-player squad for the white-ball tour, which sees three T20Is and three ODIs in Australia.The two teams will then battle in a historic Test at the WACA in Perth on 15-18 February.

This will be the Proteas women's first-ever Test against Australia, and it'll be the country's 14th Test overall. The last Test the Proteas played was back in 2022 when they drew against England in Taunton.The squad set to feature in the first-ever Test match between the two nations will be confirmed during the ODI series and ahead of the commencement of the red-ball contest from 15 - 18 February at the WACA Ground in Perth.
