One of the new sports introduced into the Paris Olympics 2024 roster was breaking or breakdancing. And through this, a name that has risen to popularity in the Olympics, known as B-Girl India.

The 18-year-old breakdancing sensation is already a serial winner, having won gold at the 2022 European Breaking Championship and the 2023 European Games.

However, B-Girl India, despite her name, does not have any correlation to India. In fact, she represents the Netherlands. So why is she known by that name?

Well, the answer comes from the fact that B-Girl India's actual name is India Sardjoe. However, neither she nor her parents have any connection to India whatsoever.

Hundreds of supporters gathering outside the IGI airport, showing immense solidarity with Vinesh, who was disqualified for being overweight after reaching the 50kg final at the Olympics. After this, a bigger crowd followed her during a roadshow. On her way to Balali from Delhi, Vinesh was felicitated by her supporters and 'khap' panchayats in several villages, with the 135km-long journey taking her almost 13 hours on Saturday.
India's star wrestler Vinesh Phogat was on cusp of history in the women's freestyle 50kg category at Paris Olympics 2024, after two giant-killing victories in the Round of 16 and quarter-final. Vinesh beat two titans of 50kg wrestling: Japan's Yui Susaki and Ukraine's Oksana Livach. In the semi-final, she beat Cuban wrestler Yusneylis Guzman Lopez. However, before her final bout, Vinesh Phogat, the 29-year-old was disqualified from the women's 50kg free-style final for being 100gm overweight at the time of weigh-in. Vinesh, who was making her third Olympic appearance here, announced her retirement from the sport a day after her disqualification, saying that she doesn't have the strength to continue.
Neeraj Chopra once again provided a silver lining to India's campaign at the Olympics by winning the silver medal at the 2024 Paris Games. The star athlete threw a season best distance of 89.45m to take home the silver in javelin throw. Neeraj has been one of the most consistent athletes for India winning medals at all major events including the World Championships, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. 
Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly opened up on Vinesh Phogat's disqualification from the final of women's 50 kg wrestling at the Paris Olympics and said that she deserves the silver medal. Following her disqualification from the Paris Olympics final, Phogat announced her retirement from wrestling on Thursday. Phogat had advanced to the gold medal bout by defeating Cuba's Yusneylis Guzman Lopez 5-0 in the semi-finals on Tuesday night. She was set to compete against the United States' Sarah Ann Hildebrandt for the gold medal but was disqualified on Wednesday for breaching the weight limit. After her disqualification, Phogat requested the CAS to award her the silver medal. Speaking to the reporters, Ganguly said that he doesn't know the exact rules but she "must have qualified properly".
Paris Olympics 2024 Closing Ceremony And Vinesh Phogat's Verdict, Live Updates: The suspense on Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)'s decision on wrestler Vinesh Phogat's appeal continues. Vinesh had filed to appeals after her disqualification from the Women's 50kg event. Vinesh had appealed to be awarded a joint-silver, with the CAS accepting the appeeal. However, CAS said that the verdict would come by Saturday, 9:30PM IST. However, the verdict will now come out on August 11, and this could mean that Vinesh's lawyers can provide any additional evidence in her defense. Meanwhile, the 33rd edition of the Summer Olympics will come to a conclusion with a grand closing ceremony at the Stade de France in Paris. (Medals Tally)
