WBC champion Tyson Fury’s next fight is expected to be against Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed heavyweight world title bout.

Fresh from his split decision victory over MMA star Francis Ngannou, who shocked the world by scoring a knock down and arguably winning the fight, Fury’s focus will be on becoming the first undisputed champion in the four belt era.

The upcoming fight with Usyk was announced in September, prior to his bout with Ngannou taking place. The contracts have been signed and both men appear eager to finally face off in the ring, having been on a collision course since Usyk first defeated Anthony Joshua to win the IBF, WBA and WBO belts in September 2021.

There was a rumoured date for when the fight was meant to take place but this has been disputed in the aftermath of Fury’s clash with Ngannou.
