Yet, despite that there are some incidents which tend to borderline bizarre and unthinkable. On Monday, a Lanka Premier League 2023 game between Galle Titans and Dambulla Aura got stopped due to a snake invading the pitch.

The incident happened during the fifth over of Dambulla's 181-run chase. The game got stopped and Galle Titans star Shakib Al Hasan could be seen gesturing as the umpires tried to shoo away the snake out of the field.

New Zealand will tour Bangladesh for the first time in 10 years, when they travel to the country for a split ODI and Test series in September and November. The three-match ODI series will be the dress rehearsal for the two teams ahead of the World Cup in India. Dambulla Aura registered a victory by seven wickets over Galle Titans in the 14th match of the ongoing Lanka Premier League on Friday. Opting to bowl first, Dambulla restricted Galle at 133/9 in 20 overs. Later, they chased down the target in just 17.4 overs after Avishka Fernando played an unbeaten knock of 70 runs off 49 balls. Apart from such a brilliant game, one thing which grabbed a lot of limelight was the wayward throw run-out of Lahiru Samarakoon by wicketkeeper Kusal Mendis, which reminded everyone of former India skipper MS Dhoni.

B-Love Kandy registered an eight-run victory over Jaffna Kings in 15th match of the ongoing Lanka Premier League on Saturday. Opting to bat first, Kandy posted a total of 178/8 in 20 overs with Mohammad Haris playing a knock of 81 runs. Later, Jaffna were restricted to 170/6 as Angelo Mathews took a three-wicket haul. Many great knocks were played as well many mind blowing dismissals were made but one thing which grabbed the entire limelight was the intrusion of a snake during the match.
