On the final ball of the third over of Ireland's chase against India, Lorcan Tucker mistimed a pull shot on the bowling of Prasidh Krishna.

India's squad for the Asia Cup 2023 has received a mixed reaction, with a section of fans and experts pointing out the apparent 'flaws' that exist in the team. Highlighting one of the problem areas in the team, former India star Gautam Gambhir asserted the need to have a proper backup for Hardik Pandya. Ruturaj Gaikwad feels leading a side is a complicated affair but he will try to make it simple like his Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni when he captains India at the Asian Games next month. Gaikwad will captain a side full of youngsters in Hangzhou with the main team busy with World Cup preparations at the same time. "Leadership role is a very complicated thing to be honest. What Mahi bhai (Dhoni) always says is to take it one game at a time, don't worry about the future. "Everyone creates hype and whatever it is. I am not the kind of person who tracks social media and hear things about what anyone is saying about me. "I think this is one of the traits that I have learned at CSK. I am pretty much clear about giving my best in the field, coming back home, chilling with my friends," he told reporters after India's 33-run win over Ireland in the second T20 on Sunday.
Jasprit Bumrah has been quite impressive for the Indian cricket team since his return from injury and he was once again among wickets as his side registered a second consecutive win on Sunday. Bumrah, who is also the skipper for the ongoing T20I series against Ireland, took two wickets for just 15 runs and even produced a brilliant display of death-over bowling. The 29-year-old bowled the final over of the Ireland innings and did not concede a single run. It was the 10th maiden over bowled by Bumrah in T20Is – the joint-highest by any bowler in the format. He equalled the record held by compatriot Bhuvneshwar Kumar but he took 25 matches less to achieve the impressive feat.
