Riding on an opening stand of 121 followed by a blistering century by Tayyab Tahir, Pakistan 'A' posted a huge total of 352/8 against India 'A' in the final match of the ACC Men's Emerging Cup 2023 in Colombo on Sunday.

For India, Riyan Parag and Rajvardhan Hangargekar picked two wickets each, while conceding 24 and 48 respectively. Harshit Rana, Manav Suthar and Nishant Sindhu took one wicket apiece.

Put into bat, Pakistan openers Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub got off to a steady start and put 50 runs on the scoreboard without losing any wickets, off 8.3 overs.

Once set, they accelerated the scoring rate to almost 7 runs per over. They reached the 100-run mark without any loss of wickets.

South Zone's juggernaut continued as they clinched the Deodhar Trophy title for the ninth time with a commanding 45-run win over East Zone in the final, here on Thursday. After opener Rohan Kunnummal smacked a sensational century -- a 75-ball 107 with four sixes and 11 fours -- to set the ball rolling for his side, there was no stopping the South Zone who piled up 328 for eight in the summit clash batting first. South Zone's impressive bowling line-up then made life miserable for the East Zone batters, whose top order crumbled to reach 75 for four after 16 overs and were left staring at a mountain to climb. It was not for the first time in the Deodhar Trophy that East Zone pinned all their hopes on the pair of Riyan Parag and Kumar Kushagra, who delivered yet again with a 105-run stand for the sixth wicket, but their effort was just not enough.
India's campaign in the Emerging Asia Cup got jolted in the final as it lost to Pakistan. Riyan Parag was an important member of that  squad. Parag has gone through some turbulent times in recent past. He emerged as a bright talent in the Indian Premier League a few years back, however the Assam youngster's recent performances in the league has not been great for Rajasthan Royals. It has led to widespread criticism in recent times. Parag, who had a good Deodhar Trophy, said he does not care about the criticism.
Riyan Parag dished out an all-round show to help East Zone hand a crushing 88-run loss to North Zone in the Deodhar Trophy on Friday. Parag first struck a whirlwind 131 from 102 balls (5x4, 11x6) in a 235-run sixth wicket partnership with Kumar Kushagra (98 off 87b, 8x4, 4x6) to power East Zone to a huge 337 for eight in 50 overs after they opted to bat. In the second half of the game, Parag returned to grab 10-1-57-4 with his leg spin to cap an impressive all-round show.
Sai Sudharsan was the star performer for India A during the ACC Emerging Asia Cup group stage match against Pakistan A but the left-hander was not able to repeat his heroics on Sunday when the two sides met in the summit clash of the tournament. However, his dismissal led to a massive controversy that has engulfed fans on social media. Sudharsan miscued a pull shot off the bowling of Arshad Iqbal and was caught by Mohammad Haris. However, the replays showed that the Pakistan bowler's front leg was dangerously close to the popping crease and a number of social media users thought that it was a no-ball. However, the decision went against the India A batter.
