After four weeks of Women’s Super League action, the domestic top-tier halts to accommodate October’s international ties in the Women's Nations League.
In complete contrast to last campaign, Manchester City go into the break undefeated. The Citizens kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 win over West Ham, a one-all tie at home against WSL champions Chelsea (with only nine players and just as many bookings).
They welcomed Bristol City to the top tier with a 5-0 thrashing and took a 1-0 victory away from King Power Stadium against Leicester last weekend.
City sit top of the WSL table standings on 10 points, a contradiction to last season’s fiasco where they managed to pull only six points from the first four games.
