Danny Schofield seems likely to make changes to his Huddersfield Town lineup to face Birmingham City after seeing his side labour through the first half against Burnley last Friday evening.
Josh Koroma particularly struggled on the left wing with Jack Rudoni looking brighter after replacing him; Jonathan Hogg and Jon Russell struggled as a high-pressing central midfield pair; and Tino Anjorin put in an encouraging showing after replacing Duane Holmes in an attacking midfield role.
Solving those key issues should be top of Schofield’s agenda for this game, and a slight shift in shape plus the introduction of Anjorin and/or Rudoni from the start could bring the new dimension to the attack that Town hoped to achieve over the summer transfer window.
Huddersfield Town boss Danny Schofield responds to supporter clamour for Danny Grant chance David Kasumu is injured, so Hogg and Russell will likely need to be retained, but dropping Hogg into a pure defensive midfield role would give Russell to play further forward – and we’re plumping for Anjorin to partner him in the more attacking central midfield role he played against Burnley, with Rudoni replacing Koroma on the left wing.
