St Johnstone have signed former Dundee United defender Barry Douglas on a deal until the summer of 2025. The 35-year-old left-back could be available for this weekend’s game against Dundee if he is granted SFA approval.
After starting his career with Queen’s Park in 2008 he spent three years at Tannadice between 2010-2013. He then moved to Poland to play for Lech Poznan for three years before spending a season in Turkey with Konyaspor.
Douglas returned to the UK in 2017 and had spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers before a second spell with Poznan.
He made his Scotland debut as a sub in a 1-0 win over Hungary in 2018 in what remains his only cap. After signing for Saints, he said: “It is an exciting time.
