Sinead O’Connor's cause of death will take 'several weeks' to establish, the coroner has said. No medical cause was given for the 56-year-old death today (Thursday), according to London Inner South Coroner’s Court.

An autopsy will be carried out and the result may not be available for several weeks, according to a statement on the court website.

The coroner was notified of the death on Wednesday(July 26). Reports said that police found the Grammy Award-winning singer unresponsive at a home in south London.

The death of the Irish star at the age of 56 is not being treated as suspicious, reports PA.
