Shamrock Rovers reject latest Blackpool bid for Andy Lyons as Irish club hold out for bigger fee

Blackpool's second bid for Shamrock Rovers full back Andy Lyons has been rejected, according to Irish Mirror. The Seasiders saw an initial bid in the region of £100k rejected for the 21-year-old highly rated prospect and have now seen their improved offer of £200k similarly rebuffed according to reports.

It's understood personal terms have been agreed between Lyons and Blackpool should the clubs be able to find a compromise on a transfer fee with the same report suggesting Shamrock Rovers aren't keen to lose him for anything less than £350k.

That would seek the middle ground between Blackpool's latest offer and the £500k reported elsewhere as the fee Rovers would ideally like for the full back.

Lyons made the switch to Rovers from their rivals Bohemians in January but has already performed well enough to earn attention from England with Michael Appleton keen to add the Irishman to his ranks prior to the start of the Championship season.
