Cam Akers’ omission for large parts of the Los Angeles Rams’ offense left fans online rather frustrated. The 2022 NFL season got underway last night in Los Angeles, as the Los Angeles Rams got their title defence underway against the team that many people are counting on to be the winners of the Vince Lombardi Trophy come February in the Buffalo Bills.
There was the usual pomp and ceremony before the game, including the banner being ‘raised’ into the rafters of SoFi Stadium as they celebrated their first Super Bowl title since moving to the city ahead of the 2016 NFL season, the same stadium that they won the Super Bowl in back in February.
But then the game had to start, and for the Rams, they probably would have wished that they didn’t have to play on the opening Thursday night and have a couple of extra days to prepare, as they didn’t put up much of a fight on opening night as they fell 31-10 at home.
