'Rubbish' - Journo claims Everton ace 'needs to go abroad' after 'ludicrous' Lampard comment

According to insider Dean Jones, Everton man Dele Alli should look for a move abroad from the club in order to get his career back on track and get out of the mindset he has recently been in.  The Toffees struggled to survive the drop last season despite bringing in the likes of Alli and Donny van de Beek in the January transfer window, and since they have failed to secure any signings apart from free agent James Tarkowski, meaning they could be involved in another relegation scrap this season.

While Alli has been a big player for Tottenham Hotspur in the past, his career has seemingly tailed off and now finds himself at Everton, something which Jones believes he needs to change in order to get himself back to where he was just a few years ago.

Jones said on the Chasing Green Arrows show, “Personally, I think Dele Alli needs to go abroad. I think he needs to find a club and get out almost of the mindset and environment that he’s been in and just try and change things up and get back on track. “Everton does not seem to be the place for that because Frank Lampard is already talking about avoiding relegation next season.

That’s absolutely ludicrous, but Everton does look rubbish right now.” (19:06) TIF Thoughts on Jones’ comments… Alli struggled last season after picking up no goals or assists in his 11 appearances for Everton, with just one of them coming as a start.
