Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Andre Onana slows down Manchester United’s pace of play and that his technical abilities with the ball at feet are actually making the side counterproductive.

Onana kept his second clean sheet of the season in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Burnley having endured a rough few weeks which included a calamitous mistake against Bayern Munich in Wednesday’s Champions League clash.

The Cameroon star has been brought in to replace the departed David de Gea - still without a club - due to his talents with his passing and distribution.

United fans have seen his abilities in his first few matches albeit are looking for more when it comes to shot stopping.
