Police have released an image of a man they want to speak in connection with a string of thefts from the staff rooms of Manchester city centre businesses.

Clothing, rucksacks and iPods are among the items stolen. Businesses in the Arndale, The Printworks, Ancoats and Piccadilly have been targeted.

Police say the thefts took place from 2pm to 10pm between Sunday, July 2 and August 18. Insp Glen Rees said: "We are now in a position in our investigation to appeal to members of the public and are asking business owners to be switched on regarding the security of their premises and ensure that staff are checking the identities of people in access only areas and securing doors and windows.
