Manchester City have a number of players unavailable for Wednesday’s trip to Aston Villa, including Rodri and Jack Grealish.

Both are suspended having picked up five yellow cards this season while Matheus Nunes and Kevin De Bruyne are injured. Jeremy Doku is also a doubt after picking up an issue against Tottenham and Pep Guardiola has now given an update on his fitness.

On Monday, City were charged by the FA for allegedly failing to control their players amid Simon Hooper’s refereeing error against Spurs.

Guardiola has commented on the charge and defended his side’s reputation when it comes to discipline.
