MS Dhoni Gets Invite For Ram Temple 'Pran Pratishtha' Ceremony

MS Dhoni, Indian cricket team's World Cup-winning captain, on Monday got an invite for to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22.

Dhoni, archer Deepika Kumari, and folk singer Mukund Nayak are among the 16 distinguished individuals from Jharkhand who have been invited, according to news agency PTI.

Recently, cricket great Sachin Tendulkar received an invitation to attend the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Temple. The 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 22.

Preparations for the occasion are underway, with many prominent luminaries invited. It is expected to be a prestigious meeting of political leaders, athletes, and celebrities, among others.

Kohli did get the invite for the same and was expected to attend the ceremony but only the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Ravindra Jadeja, and a few other cricketers were spotted. The same day, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also revealed that Virat had to pull out of the first two Tests against England, owing to a personal concern. But, there are those claiming that Virat did attend the Consecration of the Ram temple.

Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma were both invited for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya but they ended up not attending. However, a lookalike of Kohli was mobbed by fans for selfies and the video of the entire incident has gone viral on social media. The video showed that fans were excited to catch a glimpse of the Virat Kohli lookalike and there was a huge crowd gathered around the individual who wanted to meet him and take selfies.
