Met Office issues six warnings across UK ahead of weekend of bad weather

The UK is set for a night of bad weather this weekend as six warnings are in place across the country. All of the warnings, issued by the Met Office, are yellow.

None cover Greater Manchester, but in total they do cover a large portion of the country. Three warnings are in place for rain and snow in Scotland, one is in Northern Ireland for rain, as is one covering most of Wales, and another is in place for wind for much of southern and western England, plus Wales. The warnings are as follows: Isle of Lewis, Scotland: Yellow warning for rain and snow from 8am on Saturday (December 30) to the end of the day.
