Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund sends message about his Premier League goal drought

Rasmus Hojlund thinks it's only a matter of time before he scores his first Premier League goal for Manchester United. Hojlund was forced to wait to make his United debut after signing from Atalanta with a back injury, but he's now made 14 appearances in a red shirt and he's scored five goals in the Champions League.

But despite having no problem finding the net in Europe, the striker is yet to get off the mark in the Premier League. The striker also said he feels slightly 'cheated' because VAR denied his goal in the 3-1 defeat against Brighton in September. "I still feel a little bit cheated of my goal against Brighton [which was disallowed by VAR] because I watched the Newcastle game [against Arsenal] where it was more or less the same," Hojlund said. "Hopefully it's going to be nice and I know it's going to come, so I'm waiting.

I don't feel the pressure, I'm just trying to focus on my game and trying to score goals and I haven't really had the same chances in the Premier League as I've had in the Champions League. "I know when I get the chances in the league, they're going to be hopefully in the back of the net." Hojlund was asked about the team's poor start to the campaign and said: "I think we've been not so lucky this season, Of course, it's also down to the quality, but we need to improve and we know that. "We're going to work hard and get back to where we want to be, which is at the top.
