Manchester City return to Premier League action this lunchtime as they welcome second-placed Liverpool to the Etihad. Pep Guardiola's side kick off what will be a hectic winter schedule with their biggest game of the campaign so far, a clash between the league's current top two and likely title challengers.
Liverpool have returned to their best form this season and have lost just once. City are hoping to have Erling Haaland fit and firing for the clash after he trained with the group earlier this week.
The 23-year-old missed Norway's trip to Scotland due to an ankle injury but has been involved with the group and Guardiola said on Friday he will make a late decision.
Ederson, Nathan Ake and Matheus Nunes were also involved in training after withdrawing from their respective international duties, with the situation looking far better than it did at points during the break.
